We hope that everyone is continuing to stay well and regulated during this difficult time. We would like to thank our community, families, clients and staff for their continued commitment, support, and positivity. Our reopening has come off to a great start, and we are so happy to see both familiar and new faces back in the clinic.
Sensory KIDS is excited to announce that our schedule has expanded to include additional sessions for each of our therapists! Our guidelines continue to be in place, with your safety and health our utmost priority. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information on openings. Telehealth appointments are still available and are a great option for families during this time.
Please refer to our Client Care Response Agreement below for more information on the precautions Sensory KIDS is taking, and the restrictions that are in place, to ensure the health and well-being of our families and clients.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

This has been a challenging few weeks. We hope that everyone in our Sensory KIDS community is safe and well, and managing to stay somewhat regulated. We are happy to announce that, in compliance with Governor Kate Brown’s Executive Order No. 20-22, we will tentatively be reopening in a reduced capacity, starting Monday, May 18, 2020. We will be seeing clients on a limited basis, with only one therapist in the clinic at a time. We will continue to follow CDC and Oregon Health Authority guidelines to do our very best to keep everyone safe. We are thrilled to be getting back into the gym so we also can do our very best to have some fun!

Limited Capacity Scheduling
In-person appointments will be reserved for families and clients who are identified by one or more of the following determining factors:
- Medical necessity of therapy
- Overall health and well-being of client and/or family
- Disruption of intensive therapy has caused significant regression that only in-person sessions can improve
- Commitment to attendance
- Strict adherence to social distancing guidelines
- No member of the household is currently working on-site (hospitals, grocery stores, etc.)
Families and clients who identify for in-person appointments are required to sign and return our Client Care COVID-19 Response Agreement.
Sensory KIDS will be implementing a rotating schedule for each of our therapists, so appointments will be limited to start. There will be no more than one therapist in the clinic each day until further notice.
Telehealth services will continue to be available to clients and families of Sensory KIDS. These services include online assessments, treatment sessions, and parent education meetings. If you have questions regarding what a telehealth program may look like, please contact your/your child’s therapist directly.

- Jennifer Theusch: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Holly Shearer: email@example.com
- Emily Schmidt: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Danielle Williams: email@example.com
Please note: For families or clients who are currently participating in telehealth services, your therapist will contact you directly to reschedule any sessions conflicting with the new, rotating in-person schedule.
WAIT LIST AND EVALUATIONS
For families and clients who are either on the waitlist or are waiting to be evaluated, we appreciate your continued patience. We encourage those on the waitlist to continue working on the intake paperwork and ensure that all required items are in place. Please contact our office if you are interested in scheduling an online assessment or if you have any questions regarding our intake process.
For those waiting for an in-person evaluation, you will be contacted directly when appointments become available. Due to our limited re-opening, Sensory KIDS will determine any and all schedule additions on a week-by-week basis. For those excluded from an initial evaluation appointment, those that have already received an online evaluation appointment, or for those that had an evaluation appointment prior to our clinic’s closing, there may be a further delay in beginning in-person treatment as we re-establish sessions with previous scheduled clients. Our office will still consider the determining factors of you or your family’s case, prioritizing those whose overall health and well-being are at greater risk with the absence of therapy.
Please contact our office via email (firstname.lastname@example.org), if you are interested in starting either in-person appointments or telehealth services.
For clients and families who express interest in in-person appointments, we will connect with your therapist directly to discuss determining factors of your request. You will be notified by email if we are to move forward with in-person sessions at this time. Due to the high volume of inquiries we may receive, please allow Sensory KIDS up to 72 hours to respond.
For clients or families who have requested an in-person evaluation, we already have this noted on our waitlist. Sensory KIDS asks for your patience and understanding as we carefully work to ensure the safety and health of our families and clients in light of this new Executive Order.
Please read the Client Care Response Agreement for details regarding the precautions Sensory KIDS is taking to ensure your health and safety.
As always, be safe, be well, stay strong, and have fun!
